The other day someone had asked the name of "Wandering John's" original drummer.
He was Al Walder and he was at the same school as John Gravenor, Brian Twisell, Frank Hopkins and I, Caludon Castle.
When we were about 15 going on 16 and had finished our 'O' levels me, Al Walder and another friend,
Ken McCucheon started a band.
One evening a week we would go to see the band in which Pete Waterman played at their rehearsal space, Ken was a friend of one of the players.
About a year later we broke up and Al joined Wandering John.
